Origins and attitudes
Spanish breed bred in the Balearic Islands (Majorca); it has common origins with Catalan and Poitou lasino.
Very rustic, noble donkey, with a sanguine and nervous temperament and great physical strength.
The Donkey of Majorca was mainly used for the soma and the mule track production. Today it is bred in the wild in marginal soils together with other species.
In 2002 the pedigree book was created (currently about 150 animals are registered).
Morphological characters
Large, muscular and mobile ears.
